ABOUT ME

Exploration Geologist, PhD Student

As an exploration geologist, I am interested in the mineral deposits and geologic processes that supply society with its most foundational materials. I'm working with Dr. Joseph Biasi on my PhD at the University of Wyoming. My research aims to understand the petrogenesis and hydrothermal mineralization of platinum group elements and other precious metals in the historic New Rambler mining area in the Medicine Bow Mountains, southeastern Wyoming. I hope to use this research to build an applicable model of hydrothermal PGE mineralization within the local geologic context of the Medicine Bow Mountains and worldwide.

Professional Experience

Exploration Geology
My experience as a consulting geologist have allowed me to work on a variety of deposit types and exploration techniques. I have investigated Au, Cu, Li, graphite, PGE, REE, U/V, and polymetallic mineral deposits across the continental US. My field experiences include geologic mapping, surface sampling, drilling oversight, drill core logging and sampling, and operating geophysical instruments. I am also well-versed with technical writing, reporting, and report assembly, project and database management, map and figure generation, and geostatistical computation and analysis.

Medicine Bow PGEs

​The historic New Rambler mine exposes hydrothermal platinum group element (PGE) mineralization. Understanding its formation will be invaluable for exploring future sources of PGEs, which are critical for innovation and green technology.
